If you have already made women’s whim cake, it’s time to try men’s whim cake, too. Férfiszeszély is a quick and simple cake containing walnuts, rum and orange. All of the ingredients are just mixed up in a bowl, and the top of the batter is decorated with coarsly chopped walnuts.

Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 200 g (~1 cup) sugar
- pinch of salt
- 40 g (~1 1/2 oz) lard
- 200 g (~1 2/3 cups) flour
- 15 g (~1/2 oz) baking powder
- 30 ml (~2 tbsp) rum or brandy
- 150 g (~5 1/4 oz) ground walnuts
- 250 ml (~1 cup) milk
- zest of an orange
- 100 g (~3 1/2 oz) walnuts, coarsly chopped
In a small bowl combine flour and baking powder.
Grease and flour a 20×30 cm / 8×11 inch baking pan.
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 356°F.
In a mixing bowl beat the eggs, sugar, salt and lard for 3-4 minutes until fluffy. Gradually mix in flour, then pour in rum or brandy. Whisk in ground walnuts, then pour in the milk and mix until well combined. Finally, fold the orange zest in the batter. Pour the batter in the prepared baking pan, and scatter the coarsly chopped walnuts over the top. Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
