Krumpli móring consists of mashed potatoes that are flavored with sautéed onions and red peppers, giving it a delicious and savory taste. - 1 kg (~2 1/4 lbs) potatoes
- 3 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1 red pepper (kápia, bell, etc.), coarsly chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp sweet ground paprika
- 3 tbsp lard
Boil the potatoes with their skin on until tender. Peel and mash them with a potato masher. Set aside.
Heat lard in a sauté pan, add finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Add chopped peppers and stir-fry until they wilt and become tender. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Add mashed potatoes and stir until well combined. Cook until it’s heated through. Serve immediately.
